Antique Military Bugle For Sale
♫ Monday, February 21st, 2011
Here is a wonderful estate find. A military bugle thatI believe could have beenmade in France for the French military. The bell of the bugleis stamped, with a small music lyre, and the words, Jerome Thibouville-Lamy & Co. Manufactures, Paris, New York, L.Duchatellier, March 4th, 1902. I have not tried to clean the bugle. It is in as found condition. It has small dents and dingson theinstrument, as you would expect of a bugle this age. There are no large dents or cracks. I’m guessing this is also the original mouthpiece. Nothing is stamped on the mouthpiece.
Being an old trumpet player I had to try it. It is definently playable. From bell to mouthpiece the bugle measures 16 1/2 inches.
